Team Bath Racing’s Class 1 team is made up of final year students studying Masters degrees in Automotive and Mechanical Engineering within the University of Bath’s renowned Mechanical Engineering Department.

The university also enters a Class 3 team which comprises of students in their 3rd year of academic study. They compete in the static events in Formula student, before moving on to the Class 1 team the following year.

The university has a strong history of success in the Class 3 event which prepares the team for the challenge of the Class 1 event. TBR08 managed to finish second in the 2007 Class 3 event with second place in the design and business events. They were also able to learn from the experience and spend time looking at the cars in the field for ideas and to help prepare the team for the coming year.
